Privacy

How Tallahootie handles your information on this website. Each app we make keeps its own privacy policy and terms — those are linked below.

The short version

  • This website uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics (Vercel). No cookies are set and you aren’t tracked across other sites.
  • CodeKeep, BalletLingo, and Memory Matcha keep your data on your own device. Asano runs on your own servers. None of it reaches us.
  • Every app has its own privacy policy and terms — see section 3.
  • If you email us, we keep the email so we can reply.
  • We don’t sell your data, and we collect very little of it.

1. Who we are

Tallahootie Ltd (“Tallahootie”, “we”, “us”) is a software company registered in England and Wales company no. 17399431, based in Shropshire, UK. (registered office in London) You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@tallahootie.com.

For UK GDPR purposes, Tallahootie is the “data controller” for this website and the limited data described below. Each app’s own policy says who controls the data it handles.

2. This website

The Tallahootie website is a set of static pages hosted on Vercel. Fonts are served from our own domain, so your browser makes no request to a font provider.

Analytics. We use Vercel Web Analytics to see which pages are visited and where traffic comes from. It is aggregate and cookieless — no cookies are set, nothing is stored on your device, and you are not tracked across other sites. Vercel records the page visited, referrer, and coarse technical details (country, browser, operating system, device type) and derives a temporary hash that changes daily, so repeat visits can’t be linked back to you over time. We only ever see counts and trends. Vercel acts as our processor for this; see the Vercel Analytics privacy overview and Vercel’s privacy policy.

Server logs. As our host, Vercel automatically keeps standard request logs (IP address, timestamp, page requested, browser type) to run and secure the site. These are retained for 30 days and then deleted.

Our lawful basis for the above is our legitimate interest in running, securing, and improving the site, in a way designed to be minimal and non-intrusive.

3. Our apps

Each app is its own product with its own privacy policy — and, where it applies, its own terms of service. Those documents are the authoritative account of what each app does with your information. This section is only a map to them.

The pattern across all of them is the same: your data stays on your device (the App Store apps) or on your own servers (Asano), and none of our apps contain third-party analytics or advertising software. Downloads and payments are handled by Apple under Apple’s privacy policy.

CodeKeep, BalletLingo, and Memory Matcha are also covered by Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

4. If you contact us

When you email us we receive your email address, your message, and anything you choose to include. We use it only to reply and to keep a record of the conversation. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interest in answering enquiries and supporting our products. We keep enquiry and support emails indefinitely.

5. Who we share data with

We don’t sell personal data and we don’t share it for advertising. We rely on a small number of providers who act on our instructions:

  • Vercel — website hosting, request logs, and cookieless analytics.
  • Apple — App Store distribution and payments for our apps.

We may disclose information if the law requires it, or where necessary to protect our rights, our users, or the safety of others.

6. Where your data is held

Vercel is a US company and may process website data (analytics and logs) in the United States and other countries. Those transfers are made under the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, as set out in Vercel’s Data Processing Agreement.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to erase it, or to restrict or stop how we use it, and you can ask for it in a portable format. To do any of that, email hello@tallahootie.com. For data held inside a specific app, see that app’s privacy policy above.

You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113. We’d appreciate the chance to put things right first.

8. Children

This website is not directed at children. Whether a given app is suitable for or directed at children, and how it handles that, is covered by that app’s own privacy policy.

9. Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top, and for anything significant we’ll note it here. Continuing to use the website after a change means you accept the updated policy.
